About #MMU
The Maliyadeva Media Unit is one of the greatest School Media Units and was established in 1988 by Patron Mr. Francis Warnakulasooriya. Since then, the Media Unit has been an immaculate support for Mother Maliyadeva. Each and every occasion of the school, from daily assembly to the sports-meet, prize giving ceremony and many other glorious events, is supported by the Maliyadeva Media Unit.
The Maliyadeva Media Unit is one of the most popular school media units in Sri Lanka and has been awarded numerous times. MMU is popular for the well-known inter-school media competition: "Kunchanada", held annually with the mission of improving media skills and populating quality and advanced meaningful media art throughout the students in the country.
"Ran Ankura" which is the intra-school held with the intention of uplifting the media skills of the fellow Devans helping them to face challenges more successfully. The competition is mainly held mid-year and any Devan who is interested can participate.

What We Do.
- We conduct the Daily Morning Assembly program and Daily Announcements.
- We provide quality media assistance in functions such as main assemblies, assemblies held in the main hall, sports meet, prize giving, colors night and much more.
- We are responsible for broadcasting the religious observances, songs of national importance in the morning.
- We often provide quality media assistance for other school student societies inside the school.
- We have started broadcasting news on every Tuesday and Thursday.
- We conduct development programs for fellow students to improve their media skills.
